Zach Farmer is a 2013 LHP/OF with a 6-3 175 lb. frame from Piketon, OH who attends Piketon HS. Long slender build, very loose and projectable. Leg raise delivery, 3/4's arm slot, fast arm, works downhill. Fastball topped at 91 mph, good late life at times, big breaking low 70's curveball, tends to rush body on curveball and not release out front, some feel for change, tends to slow arm on release. Around the strike zone with all three pitches. More stuff there with adjustments and additional strength. Verbal commitment to Ohio State.

Zach Farmer is a 2013 LHP/OF with a 6-3 175 lb. frame from Piketon, OH who attends Piketon. Long, strong athletic frame with lots of room to fill. Outstanding arm with smooth easy action and very easy fastball velocity. Consistent high 80s velocity, topping at 91. Fastball had good tailing action and came out very clean. Balanced delivery with great mechanics. Repeats mechanics well. Good spin on a 73 mph curveball with 1/7 break, also showed depth and some 12/6 break with late bite. Very good arm action on changeup that has sink. Good idea on the mound. Mixes pitches well and has big time potential. Showed athleticism with 7.02 sixty and very good round of batting practice with a long strong swing, good strength and easy bat speed. Highest level prospect to follow. Very interesting player for 2013 draft. Good student.
