2011 Pitcher/Catcher Indoor Showcase
Gregory Walsh is a 2011 RHP/C with a 6-4 180 lb. frame from Calgary, AB who attends Bishop Carroll HS. Long lean build, room to add strength. Compact arm action, late hand separation, hesitation at the top, overhand release point. Upper 70's fastball, touched 80 mph, good downhill angle, mostly straight. Inconsistent breaking ball release, best spin/bite at higher velocities, threw a couple of knuckleballs with good dance, rare change up. Light on feet catching, blocks well, quick actions, soft hands. Crouched batting stance, big head drop affects vision, line drive swing, limited weight transfer. Good student.
