Andrew Burgesser is a 2014 RHP/3B, 1B with a 6-1 180 lb. frame from Midland, NC who attends Central Cabarrus. Large, athletic frame with long limbs, square shoulders, and room to fill out with added strength. Ran a 7.39 60 yard dash. Primary right handed pitcher who throws from a three quarters arm slot and a short arm circle in back. Deliberate, well paced and compact delivery. Fastball topped at 83 mph and sat 79-82 mph and shows occasional sink on the pitch. Maintains velocity from stretch. Flashes a slider at 74 mph with 10/4 shape. Quick, easy arm across the infield with good arm strength and carry on throws. Bats from right side with slightly open base and high hand set close to body. Has a line drive swing path and makes pull side contact. Very good student.
