Holstein is a strong 6-4 right handed pitcher with long arms. He throws very easily with a balanced delivery and minimal effort on all his pitches. Holstein threw 80-84 mph on his fastball for us but it’s hard to believe that he wouldn’t throw harder at a different time of the year given his size, strength and arm looseness. Both of Holstein’s secondary pitches had good quality to them. His curveball topped out at 74 mph with nice rotation and his 75 mph change up was consistently deceptive. Holstein threw good strikes with all 3 pitches, also. He also swings the bat well out of a straight up stance. The ball jumped off his bat fast. He could end up being very good at the college level and with his size he might end up playing pro ball.
