Randy Torres is a 2013 OF/1B, LHP with a 5-9 155 lb. frame from Bronx, NY who attends All Hallows. Smaller, athletic frame, wiry strong looking player. Ran a 6.77 60 yard. Quick steps in the outfield, long arm action. Athletic actions at first base, soft hands and moves around well. Left-handed hitter, hits from a slightly open stance, knee lift trigger, bat speed stands out, quick hands to the ball, consistently barrels it up. Calm, patient approach, won't expand the zone, line drive swing path, looks like he can hit at the top of a lineup. Also pitches, long 3/4 arm action, gets good extension out front, smooth and easy. Up to 72 mph with his fastball. Excellent student.
