Scott Daniels is a 2005 right handed hitting catcher from Kingsport, TN, with good present strength and some quickness behind the plate. Daniels arm strength is playable for the next level, and he has a quick release. He also showed the ability and agility to throw from his knees, registering a 2.06 pop time during workouts. Daniels uses his hand and upper body strength well at the plate. He hits from a no load approach at the plate with an aggressive pull oriented swing. Daniel’s bat speed is good and the ball jumped off his bat well. Daniels will open early and pull off the ball at times, but mostly stays squared to the ball. He should be a good addition to the right college program.
