Jakson Reetz is a 2014 C/RHP/OF with a 6-1 195 lb. frame from Hickman, NE who attends Norris HS. Very strong, well proportioned athletic build. 6.98 runner, very versatile and athletic defensive player, can play all over the field. Low flexible set catching, quick actions and quick release, very good arm strength, accurate throws, 1.94 best pop, can improve basic footwork, also plays outfield and shows a big throwing arm. Right handed hitter, spread stance, hunched stance with both elbows high, has to lower to start swing, aggressive upper cut swing, fast hands and very good raw bat speed, power approach, best when hands extended, big hitting tools with some adjustments. Also pitched, works from stretch, crouched delivery, raw delivery mechanics, mid 3/4's slot, fastball to 88 mph, mostly straight, flashes tight spin on curveball and good bite, developing change up. Steady 90+ mph arm there with a better delivery. Great combination of tools and strength, skills will come. Good student, verbal commitment to Nebraska.
