Aubrey McCarty is a 2013 1B/3B/BHP with a 6-3 205 lb. frame from Doerun, GA who attends Colquitt County HS. Outstanding athletic build, big and strong. Switch-hitter, better left handed. Big bat speed left handed, spread stance with lowered hands, gets coiled and loaded, explodes hands, ball jumps hard. Different approach right handed, high hands, simple direct swing mechanics, hits out front, still has bat speed and some pull power. 7.19 runner, very smooth and easy defensive actions, plays first base right handed, curious why? Switch-pitcher, much stronger arm right handed, simple mechanics, throws downhill from high 3/4's release, fastball to 88 mph, nice 79 mph slider. Less arm speed left handed, long loose arm action, arm works well, low 80's fastball with upper 60's curveball. Impressive versatility, big tool is his left handed power. Good student.

Aubrey McCarty is a 2013 1B/BHP with a 6-3 200 lb. frame from Doerun, GA who attends Colquitt County HS. Big, tall athletic frame. Legitimate switch hitter and both handed pitcher. Played 1B right-handed. Good feet and actions, has athleticism. Arm works with online carry. Hitting from the right side, simple swing mechanics with lots of strength. Good balance, quick bat, line drive plane. Bat speed and pull pop. Left side, not quite as smooth, still shows strength and bat speed and smooth swing. BP HRs from both sides. Pitching with left hand, long loose arm action, quick paced delivery with 1/7 curveball. Better with right hand. More arm speed and looseness. Arm works well, stays balanced in delivery. Good balance throughout. Fastball showed sink. Threw curveball and changeup. Extremely interesting two way prospect. Excellent student. Named to Top Prospect Team.
