Josh Roberson is a 2014 RHP/OF with a 6-2 150 lb. frame from Clemmons, NC who attends North Davidson. Tall thin lanky frame, lots of room to fill, slender and projectable. Pitches from an over the top arm slot, hides the ball well in his delivery, online direction to the plate. Projectable velocity, long stride, some use of front side, fastball has life, good control to arm side, less to glove side. Good depth on 11-5 curveball with hard spin, good fade on changeup, lacks present feel for offspeed stuff but shows a lot of promise with ability to spin the ball, throws downhill. Accurate throws from the outfield with carry, loose arm action with good extension. Ball comes off the barrel well, rotational swing, solid bat speed, line drive plane. Good student.
