Rhett Carroll is a 2015 OF/RHP with a 5-10 140 lb. frame from Jackson, GA who attends Jackson HS. Slender young frame, minimal present strength. Right handed hitter, patient hitter, works the count, tends to step out on swing creating length in games, stayed short and quicker in batting practice, handles the barrel well and makes contact, will benefit from additional strength. Shows some outfield arm strength with a good arm action, gets good jumps and reads on the ball, 7.65 runner. Also pitched, over the top arm slot, loose arm with some arm quickness, projects to add velocity. Fastball topped out at 77 mph, have seen up to 81 mph in the past, works downhill well and throws strikes with his fastball, curveball flashed potential with 11/5 shape and some occasional bite. Should continue to improve with strength, especially on the mound. Good student.
