Hiram BJ Rivera is a 2013 RHP/OF with a 6-1 190 lb. frame from Ciales, PR who attends Carlos Beltran Baseball Academy. Athletic, strong build, wiry and has some physical projection. Pitches from a 3/4 arm slot, extended, long arm action. Stays in-line with the plate, good extension out front, arm slot varies occasionally, mild head whack to clean up. Works at 81-83 mph with his fastball, flashes occasional arm side run. Shows good sinking action on changeup, keeps his arm speed up, very strong secondary pitch. Excellent student.
