Jacob DeVries is a 2013 LHP/1B with a 6-3 200 lb. frame from Castroville, TX who attends Medina Valley HS. Solid athletic build, good present strength. Slow paced leg raise delivery, pause at the top with hitch in arm action, high 3/4's to over the top release point, has some deception. Mid 80's fastball, touched 88 mph, lots of fastball variance, fastball straight and tends to pitch up in the strike zone. slider future, tends to slow arm/body on change up. Left handed hitter, spread stance, hand drop load, upper cut swing plane, flashes pull power. Very good student.
