Cody Brandt is a 2013 LHP with a 6-6 230 lb. frame from West Branch, IA who attends West Branch HS. Big strong well proportioned build, young look, very projectable. Leg raise/tuck delivery, gets overturned and not back on line occasionally, bit cross body on release, throws easy and smooth when on top and on line, ball comes out very easily, inconsistent mechanics and release. Fastball to 85 mph, mostly straight, very good downhill angle, lacks command of change up but plus life at times, tends to lean upper body back and cast curveball. Very raw mechanics and might take a while but high ceiling prospect, arm really works well when everything in sync. Follow closely. Good student.
