Adam Pick is a 2014 LHP/1B with a 6-0 210 lb. frame from Cedar Rapids, IA who attends Xavier HS. Strong well proportioned physical build. Balanced on line delivery, 3/4's arm slot, pitches tall with good downhill plane, arm works well with some arm speed, low effort release. Steady low 80's fastball, topped out at 82 mph, fastball has good lefty running action. Nice change up, maintains arm speed and gets good late life. Soft curveball has proper 1/7 shape and occasional depth, could add power, is making steady improvement on the mound. Very good defensive actions at first base, good hands and feet, shows his athleticism. Left handed hitter, open stance with limited flow or shift, deep hand load, short line drive swing, has strength in swing but could improve with adjustments. Good student.

Adam Pick is a 2014 LHP/1B with a 6-0 185 lb. frame from Cedar Rapids, IA who attends Xavier. Pick has a medium sized frame with a strong build. He pitches from a 3/4 arm slot with a long loose arm action. He pitches with low effort and and throws downhill well. Pick has a balanced delivery and lands across his body some. He maintains arm speed on his change up and throws it for strikes. He has some feel for a breaking ball but it's a developing pitch. Pick has good actions defensively at 1B with good footwork. He has soft hands and can pick the ball well. At the plate, Pick stays inside the ball well and has bat speed. He's got strength in his swing with power potential. Interesting two-way player. Excellent student.
