Kyle Van Beveren is a 2013 LHP/1B, OF with a 6-2 185 lb. frame from Oak Park, CA who attends Oak Park. Van Beveren has a medium sized frame with a solid build. He pitches from a 3/4 arm slot with a medium length arm circle in back. Van Beveren uses an online delivery with good balance. He gets some arm side run on his fastball and throws an 11/5 slider for strikes. He works off his slider which is a good pitch for him. Defensively, Van Beveren plays through the ball well in the outfield with balanced actions. He has solid transfers and an upright finish. At the plate, Van Beveren starts with a square stance with a wide base and uses a rotational swing. He gets good use of his lower half and gets extension in his swing. Good hitting tools with power potential. Bat projects best. Very good student.
