Trent Johnson is a 2014 RHP/SS with a 6-3 165 lb. frame from Williston, FL who attends Williston HS. Slender long limbed build, lots of room to fill out, projectable physically. Long extended arm action with some wrap in back, high 3/4's slot, throws downhill well, stays balanced and on line in delivery. Low 80's fastball topped out at 82 mph, lots of running and sinking action, good command of fastball, stayed low in zone and used his movement. Good feel for low 70's curveball, gets nice spin and some 11/5 depth, maintains arm speed on off speed pitches, change up has some late life and deception. Right handed hitter, big coiled load, long swing with some bat speed, hits the ball out front. 7.26 runner, third base actions defensively, feet work well, accurate throws with some carry. Three solid pitches on the mound with the physical ability to keep getting stronger and add velocity. Named to the Top Prospect Team.

Trent Johnson is a 2014 RHP/SS with a 6-2 155 lb. frame from Williston, FL who attends Williston. Tall lanky build, room to fill, well proportioned frame. 3/4 arm slot, long arm action, inconsistent balance point, often drifts through and has to rush upper 1/2 to catch up to lower 1/2. With better balance will utilize long frame better for downhill leverage and improve both command and velocity. Finishes pitches well, projectable, doesn't hold runners well yet. Arm worked well defensively in infield, accurate throws, solid defensively but more upside on mound. Quick hands at plate, good extension, solid contact, not much lower 1/2 use in swing, front leaks, sees ball well, good decisions at plate, solid bat speed.
