Corey Gibson is a 2013 LHP/OF with a 5-10 175 lb. frame from Ft Myers, FL who attends Cypress Lake HS. Medium athletic build, some present strength. Balanced delivery, compact arm circle, online to the plate, 3/4's arm slot, some effort on release. Steady mid 70's fastball topped at 77 mph, mostly straight. Change up best secondary pitch, good arm speed and consistent release. Left handed hitter, rotational swing with some back side collapse, swings hard and creates some bat speed, has some pull power, bit all or nothing but the ball jumps on contact, 7.07 runner. May have better position tools than pitching tools. Very good student. Named to the Top Prospect Team.
