Joe Corrao is a 2015 RHP/MIF with a 5-11 145 lb. frame from Merrick, NY who attends Bellmore JFK HS. Lean young build, lots of room to get stronger. Fast paced delivery with big side step start, long loose arm action with some wrap in back, fast coming through, high 3/4's arm slot. Steady low 80's fastball with some downhill angle, topped out at 82 mph, more velocity in there with additional strength, hits spots well with his fastball. Throws both a curveball and a slider, curveball has good 12/6 downer shape with some bite and depth when on top of it, tight slider spin at 77 mph. Also shows a nice change up with running action. Has four solid pitches and an idea how to pitch and will keep improving if he can get stronger. Very good student. Named to the National Underclass Showcase Main Event Top Prospect Team.
