Derik Beauprez is a 2013 RHP/1B with a 6-5 217 lb. frame from Cherry Hills Village, CO who attends Cherry Creek HS. Outstanding physical build, long and strong and very projectable. Newly converted pitcher, not many innings, clean arm action, easy power arm, fastball topped at 93 mph with good life, more in there. Nice change up, lots of late life and good release, still developing spin and feel for curveball but flashed spin. Very high ceiling arm. Left handed hitter, easy loose swing mechanics, good extension, plus power potential with bat speed, gets the ball in the air. 7.44 runner, light on his feet at first base, good range, shows his athleticism. Will be fun to watch develop on the mound.
