Jan Luis Diaz is a 2013 LHP with a 6-4 150 lb. frame from Cayey, PR who attends Benjamin Harrison HS. Very slender build, minimal present strength. Full hands behind the head wind up, deep fast paced arm circle, 3/4's release point, some cross body, tends to drift in delivery and loose leverage at times. Fastball to 81 mph, gets good arm side running action at times, settled down well and worked fastball to spots. Soft curveball with knuckle curveball grip, tends to drift more on breaking balls than fastballs. Fields position well and competes.
