Tanner Barnhard is a 2013 C/3B with a 5-11 200 lb. frame from Orlando, FL who attends Olympia. Stocky, strongly built athlete, strong lower half. Ran a 7.22 60 yard. Shows off impressive raw arm strength from behind the plate, has some violence to his mechanics, has the footwork to become a throwing threat as a catcher. Right-handed hitter, hits from a slightly open stance, needs to keep his weight back longer, pull side approach, displays good bat speed. Sound swing mechanics, good bat speed, flashes some power potential, has some lift in his swing. Excellent student.
