Marcelle Carter is a 2014 SS/RHP, 2B, 3B with a 5-8 166 lb. frame from Austin, TX who attends James Bowie HS. Carter has a medium sized frame with a lean athletic build. Defensively, he has a long arm action with some arm strength. Carter moves to the ball well and showed some body control on the infield. At the plate, he starts with a pigeon toed stance and maintains balance through his swing. He swings on a line drive path and has an easy swing. Carter showed some pop in his bat and has solid hitting tools. He also pitches and has a quick arm and throws an 11/5 curveball with tight spin. Excellent student.
