Julio Burciaga is a 2013 LHP with a 6-3 207 lb. frame from Los Angeles, CA who attends John Marshall HS. Square shouldered build with some present strength, room to get stronger. Well paced calm delivery, bit cross body on release, 3/4's arm slot, arm works smoothly, will occasionally throw too straight with upper body and leave pitches up. Consistent mid 70's fastball, some cutting action, effective slider/cutter, spots it well, big breaking curveball with some spin and good shape, change is a bit too firm with lowered release point. Fields his position and has a good pick off move. Throws strikes and has an idea how to pitch.
