Mike Palos is a 2014 C/3B/OF with a 5-8 165 lb. frame from Monterey Park, CA who attends Cathedral HS. Shorter build, solid overall strength. Versatile player, best potential behind the plate but athletic enough for corner OF and 3B. Feet work very well behind the plate, some arm strength with more to come, quick actions, long release at times. Third base next best position, soft hands, quick first step, fast release. Right handed hitter, bent knee no stride approach, tends to loop hands inside/under ball, strong enough to drive ball when hands on top, can improve with better mechanics. Nice all around player. Excellent student.
