Nick Melvin is a 2013 RHP/1B with a 6-6 195 lb. frame from Burnet, TX who attends Burnet HS. Long and slender build, lots of room to get stronger. High leg lift delivery, high 3/4's arm slot, long arm action, stays on line and works downhill, some extension out front and finishes to the plate. Mid 80's fastball topped at 86 mph, mostly straight, has some ability to throw fastball to spots. Tends to change arm stroke and release on curveball and tip pitch, early break with some depth. Developing feel for change up with good sink at times, proper velocity. Projectable right hander who should continue to add velocity with additional strength. Excellent student
