Nathan Sweeney is a 2016 RHP/MIF with a 6-4 185 lb. frame from Centennial, CO who attends Cherry Creek HS. Outstanding physical build, prototypical projectable pitcher's build with good present strength and more to come.. Hip coil delivery, very fast arm coming through with some energy at release. Has athletic actions and fields his position well, quick feet on his pick off move. Fastball topped out at 92 mph, gets very good running and sinking life at peak velocities down in the zone, difficult pitch to square up when located, stays down in the zone well when working from the wind up. Curveball will flash depth and quality spin at times but not consistent yet. Live arm and should continue to improve with physical maturity and repetitions. Verbal commitment to Arizona.
