Eduardo Javier Jimenez is a 2013 3B/1B/RHP with a 6-1 210 lb. frame from Gurabo, PR who attends Puerto Rico Baseball Academy. Big and strong build, mature look. Right handed hitter, long and strong approach at the plate with extended finish, has bat speed and good strength at contact, some backside collapse creates lift in swing, hard contact against pitches he can get extended on, will have to shorten up against velocity. Sound third base actions defensively, feet work well, very good arm strength, 7.36 runner. Two-way prospect, grades out a bit higher as a pitcher. Slow paced turn and throw delivery, hides ball well in back, tight high 3/4's release point, good downhill angle. Upper 80's fastball topped at 89 mph, mostly straight with occasional arm side run, curveball has good spin and depth with nice velocity, has an idea how to pitch and throws strikes.

Right handed hitter, long swing with strength, rotational swing with lift, ball comes off hard when squared, best contact right centerfield. 7.09 runner, very good arm strength at third base, long release, some athletic ability, can soften his hands. Grades out better as a RHP for this event. Slow paced delivery, simple repeatable mechanics, high 3/4's arm slot. Fastball topped at 87 mph, mostly straight with good downhill angle. Curveball shows good spin and shape, will shorten up CB for slider effect at times, good feel for his change up. Has some pitchabilty and can mix it up.
