John Lobban is a 2014 RHP with a 6-2 185 lb. frame from Orleans, ON who attends Sir Wilfrid Laurier. Extra-large, athletic frame with a lean build which projects nicely with added strength. Primary right-handed pitcher, throws from a mid three-quarter arm slot, with an easy arm action at release. Compact delivery with a short arm action in the back, shows confidence in both offerings on the mound. Worked his fastball in the 78-81 mph range with nice arm side run to it. Curveball shows 12-6 break with nice depth and late break to it. Filled up the zone with both pitches. Good student.
