Hiram Berrios Medina is a 2013 2B/ with a 5-6 145 lb. frame from Ciales, PR who attends Carlos Beltran Baseball Academy. Small build, very slender, lots of room to fill out and get stronger. Ran a 6.99 60 yard. Moves very well on the infield, smooth movements to the baseball, good hands and transfers the ball very well. Tools are there to be a superb defensive player at second base. Right-handed hitter, hits from a wide base, knee lift trigger, stays short to the ball, line drive type swing path, gets good extension. Makes consistent contact, hits up the middle. Good student.
