2004 Spring Top Prospect Showcase
OF Blake Dickerson: Dickerson is a 5-8 junior outfielder from South Dakota with good quickness and some baseball skills. He ran the 60 for us in 7.27 but showed very good range in centerfield and nice quickness on the bases. Dickerson likes to run and he’s good at it. His arm strength is solid, so he’s an all around defensive outfielder. Dickerson commits early at the plate and gets his hands out in front of the ball but made consistent solid contact to the middle of the field in both batting practice and in game at bats. We’d bet he's an efficient, high average hitter with metal in his hands.
