Wes Schneider is a 2006 middle infielder from Orange, Texas, with a projectable young body and good quick actions on defense. His quickness and especially his balance make him a strong defensive player at either shortstop or second, and he showed us the ability to make both the routine and the difficult play. He was one of the top couple of defensive infielders at the event. Schneider has an unorthodox approach at the plate, with a severe pigeon toed set up and a high leg lift. He made consistent solid contact in both batting practice and in games with a level, slapping swing.
