WP - Blake McEwen is a 2005 C from Sanger HS in CA. Blake has a durable catcher's body with a large frame, sloped shoulders, and a strong lower half. He had consistent pop times that gained in accuracy the more he threw. Blake showed good patience at the plate and looked for his pitch. He has a quiet approach and is well balanced throughout his swing. He used the middle of the field and showed some raw power that will continue to improve. Blake is a quality catcher with the ability to be a run producer in the middle of the order.
