Alex Jackson is a 2016 SS/MIF with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Double Oak, TX who attends Marcus. Large, athletic build with a lean, projectable frame and quick twitch muscle. Ran a 7.21 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, long arm action with strength and carry on throws across, athletic actions with glove work that plays well up the middle. Left-handed hitter, starts with a high hand set and high back elbow. Stays balanced throughout, easy and fluid stroke, quick hands, showed a strong feel for the barrel with consistent line drive contact and projectable strength. Shifts weight through lower half and demonstrated a knowledge of the strike zone in game action. Loud contact to his pull side. Named to South Underclass Top Prospect List. Very good student.
