Nico Moreno is a 2007 second baseman/right handed pitcher from Valrico, FL with a lean build at 5-9, 150 lbs. Defensively, he has a strong arm at 80 mph across the infield and 84 mph from the outfield. He has good actions and a quick first step showing range in all directions. He hits from a wide stance with no load and a late trigger. He shows good hand strength and bat control and hits the ball where it is pitched. He pitches from a 3/4 slot with a live arm and a high effort delivery. His fastball showed decent run at 81 mph. He throws a tight 11-5 curveball at 71 mph. He is a tough competitor and he plays the game hard. He is a good follow for 2007.
