Austin Mourad is a 2014 SS/2B with a 5-10 170 lb. frame from Paducah, KY who attends Reidland HS. Medium athletic build, some present strength. Right handed hitter, short quick swing with very good bat speed, swings hard but stays fluid and short, hard pull contact, squares up well, line drive plane but shows pull power, good balance at contact, aggressive hitter. 7.15 runner, aggressive baserunner with solid instincts. Quick feet and good lateral range defensively, accurate throws, makes the routine play well, smooth charging the ball, present arm strength lacking for shortstop but fine for second base. Offensive tools stand out. Very good student. Named to the Top Prospect Team.
