Trevor (TJ) Martin is a 2014 C/1B with a 6-1 205 lb. frame from Overland Park, KS who attends Blue Valley Southwest HS. Big and strong athletic build, looks the part. Right handed hitter, open stance with a low hand start, has length to his swing but very good bat speed, wants to get his arms extended and drive the ball hard, aggressive swing, can be beat inside but will crush the ball over the middle of the plate, lots of power potential, consistent hard game contact. Good quickness behind the plate, compact smooth release, very accurate throws, threw out multiple game runners, 2.00 best pop time in drills but better game throws, works hard blocking and receiving. Stood out in game competition. Good student, signed with Kansas.
