Mario Leone is a 2014 2B with a 5-7 135 lb. frame from Johns Creek, GA who attends Chattahoochee HS. Leone has a smaller frame with a compact build. Defensively he has solid defensive actions and is light on his feet. He has developing arm strength and profiles best at 2B. Leone showed good athleticism in game with a good backhanded play up the middle. At the plate, Leone starts with a slightly open stance with a wide base. He has a balanced swing and gets the barrel to the ball. He swings on a line drive path and has a contact hitter approach. Very good student.
