Matthew Cerfolio is a 2016 SS/RHP with a 5-8 135 lb. frame from Indian Springs, AL who attends John Carroll. Cerfolio has a smaller frame with a thin lean build. He has developing actions on the infield with developing arm strength. He has a long arm action and can throw from all angles across the diamond. Cerfolio is a switch hitter who has the same approach from both sides of the plate. He starts with a slightly open stance and is upright. He uses a toe tap trigger to start his swing and made consistent middle of the field contact. Cerfolio pitches from a 3/4 arm slot and maintains balance through his delivery. He pitches with lower effort and will throw harder with more use from his lower half. Excellent student.
