Andrew Eilers is a 2014 RHP/OF with a 6-2 165 lb. frame from Quincy, IL who attends Quincy HS. Young slender build, lots of room to fill out. Back turn delivery, stays on line well coming through, over the top release point, medium arm circle, arm works well, gets downhill to the plate. Fastball topped at 81 mph, mostly straight, maintained his velocity well. Straight change up with good command, is a bit firm on occasion. Soft curveball with some 12/6 downer shape, fair spin. Works quickly and throws strikes with all pitches, should keep improving with additional strength. Creating movement on his fastball and change up is key. Right handed hitter, gets to his front side early, looks to pull, rotational approach, line drive swing plane. Very good student.
