Jordan Fernandez is a 2015 C/OF with a 5-8 170 lb. frame from Laporte, TX who attends Deer Park HS. Shorter compact build with good present strength. 7.11 runner, has athletic quickness and bounce behind the plate, occasionally sacrifices arm strength/balance for quickness on throws, 2.00 best pop, 2.12 in between innings, 2.24 in games, accurate throws and will throw out runners, can block laterally and make athletic plays after contact. Right handed hitter, open stance with a big stride into contact, long rotational swing from a high hand start, uppercut swing plane, has the strength to hit but will have to shorten up his approach to hit at the next level.
