Jack Snodgrass is a 2006 LHP with a 6'5'', 195 lb. frame from Bowling Green KY, who attends Bowling Green HS. He has an idea pitcher's frame with long limbs and some wiry present strength. Snodgrass has smooth, easy pitching mechanics and a loose arm action. He works quickly and tries to pitch to spots. His fluid arm stroke makes you believe that he will continue to increase his arm speed and his velocity as he gets older. Snodgrass's fastball topped out at 84 mph and he would both cut and tail the pitch depending on his grip and release. He repeated his delivery well and threw strikes. Snodgrass's most effective pitch was his 76 mph change up, which had the same release and arm action as his fastball and nice sink. His 73 mph curveball flashed sharp sweeping action and should become more consistent with experience. Snodgrass fielded his position well and did everything a pitching coach would want to teach a young pitcher to help him win games. His ceiling is a matter of how hard his body and work ethic enable him to increase in strength. Snodgrass is a very good follow with a nice ceiling. He is also a good student.
