Mark Karmelich is a 2014 LHP/1B with a 6-3 185 lb. frame from Rancho Palos Verdes, CA who attends Palos Verdes HS. Tall slope shouldered build, room to get stronger. Multi-piece delivery with hand drop start, pause at the top, full arm circle, high 3/4's arm slot with some lean off at release, has deception. Works off his curveball, curveball has big 1/7 shape and he throws it for consistent strikes. Fastball topped at 78 mph, mostly straight but will cut glove side at times. Aggressive in the strike zone and gets lots of early count swings/contact. Needs to utilize a change up. Good student.
