Kyle Crowl is a 2016 MIF/3B with a 6-2 180 lb. frame from Council Bluffs, IA who attends Abraham Lincoln. Medium frame, athletic build with present strength. Projects for added strength while maintaining athleticism. Right handed hitter with a balanced, straight stance and high back elbow set. Linear lower half actions to contact with solid shift. Shows a compact, line drive swing plane primarily working the ball to each gap. Possesses present bat speed and excellent barrel control producing tight back spin to all fields. Turns barrel well on pitcher inner half with present power to drive deep into the gap and over the wall. Had one of the best batting practice rounds of the day, consistently squaring up contact with a loud barrel. Swing projects well for the next level and continue to gain strength in swing. Worked out defensively from the infield showing very athletic actions with plus range to both sides. Smooth glove skills while funneling baseball out front and while on the move. Throws downhill with good momentum to the bag creating plus arm whip, topped at 91 mph across the infield. Polished tools with a high ceiling, will continue to develop with physical maturity. Very good student as well. Named to the 2016 Pre-Draft Showcase Top Prospect List.
