Payton Young is a 2016 1B/OF with a 6-0 210 lb. frame from Centre, AL who attends Piedmont. Large fame, thick strong build. Long aggressive swing, strong at contact, good bat speed, strong lower half, flashes power to the gaps in game swings and showed power in batting practice. Short compact arm action at first base, hands work well, good footwork and quick release. Good student. Named to the Southeast Underclass Showcase Top Prospect Team.
