Zachary Neff is a 2014 LHP/1B with a 6-0 160 lb. frame from Belleville, IL who attends Gibault Catholic HS. Slender long armed build, minimal present strength. Big leg raise delivery, gets turned well, stays on line and balanced, full clean arm circle, 3/4's arm slot, solid overall delivery mechanics he repeats well. Fastball topped out at 81 mph, some lefty fade at times, pitches aggressively with fastball and makes hitters swing. Change up is best secondary pitch, good arm speed with similar lefty fade, rare slow curveball showed good depth and fair spin. Commands his pitches well and locates, needs to mix better. Should continue to improve with additional strength. Good student.
