Matthew Currie is a 2014 OF/ with a 5-10 170 lb. frame from League City, TX who attends Clear Springs. Has a medium athletic build with strength. Gets a good first step in the outfield which allows him to cover ground. He has a strong accurate arm which he will show off, has good actions with good feet work. Has an open stance at the plate with his hands close to his body with a lead-off contact approach at the plate. He makes consistent contact in games, stays inside the ball well, drives the ball the other way. Has a good baseball IQ which he uses on the bases and takes an extra base when he can. Is an excellent student.
