Dominick Rios is a 2013 LHP/1B with a 6-1 198 lb. frame from Juana Diaz, PR who attends Superior Jardines de Ponce. Projectable build, can get significantly stronger. Pitches from a 3/4 arm slot, throws across his body, repeats well. Fastball sits at 76-78 mph, likes to work hitters inside, moves the ball around well and attacks with the fastball. Slider shows decent spin at 66 mph, has 1-7 break, keeps hitters off balance, should continue to improve. Good idea on the mound, calm demeanor.
