Christian Flecha Astacio is a 2013 LHP with a 6-2 150 lb. frame from Humacao, PR who attends Caguas Military Academy. Slender young build, minimal present strength. Long loose arm action, arm works well coming through, 3/4's arm slot, stays balanced, good extension out front, ball comes out cleanly, throws downhill. Steady 86-88 mph fastball velocity, gets some sink down in the zone, projects to add velocity with more strength and already has gained 2 mph since December, easy to see low 90's in future. Soft curveball with some spin and proper shape, developing pitch with some promise. Good student, signed with Alabama State.

Christian Flecha Astacio is a 2013 LHP with a 6-2 150 lb. frame from Humacao, PR who attends Caguas Military Academy. Nice young athletic build, projects very well. Hands over head delivery, slow balanced back turn with a pause at the top, quick loose arm, mid 3/4's to 3/4's release, bit cross body, low effort release. Steady mid 80's fastball, topped at 86 mph, works bottom of the zone well but mostly straight, more velocity in his arm. Tends to wrap curveball and change arm action and release point, tips the pitch, best curveball spin from lower release points, rare change up. Potential power left handed arm but must develop feel and consistency for off speed. Good student.
