Rafael Perozo is a 2014 LHP/1B with a 5-11 183 lb. frame from Bronx, NY who attends St Raymond HS For Boys. Medium build, strong upper body, shows some present athleticism. Ran a 7.70 60 yard. Left-handed thrower that works from three-qaurter arm slot and gets good extension. Uses his lower half effectively and shows good mound presence. Controls and repeats his delivery well. Fastball reached 78 mph, and shows good two-seam tail and sink. Has a feel for his 65 mph curveball, which shows good 10-4 sweeping action. Very consistent and knows how to mix pitches. Also swung the bat, hits from an even stance. Swing gets long at times, but shows strength and produces line drives. Upside is on the mound. Good student.
