Michael Reid is a 2014 3B/OF, SS, RHP with a 6-4 180 lb. frame from Detroit, MI who attends Bishop Foley Catholic. Tall, long limbed frame, thin athletic build with room to fill, projectable. Hits with a wide base, creates good leverage in swing, good raw power but hasn't fully tapped into it yet. Line drive swing plane, good contact ability, good round of BP, has bat speed, late with backside push, good sound at contact. Moves well for his size, natural athleticism is present even though he is still growing into his long frame, ran a 7.00 60 yard dash. Pitches from a high three quarters arm slot with a medium two piece arm action. Sinks fastball when he gets on top, deep takeback, has some upside on the mound as he develops, fastballs only in this outing. Arm strength plays well in the outfield. Excellent student.
